Listen up, lactose-intolerant nation. Silk has done it again.

Silk has been my favorite dairy-free brand for a few years now, ever since I had to regularly abandon the 'real stuff.' I have to say, I was skeptical of Silk's 'plant based yogurt alternative.' The name sure makes it sound appetizing, doesn't it? ;)

But when BzzAgent offered me a chance to taste Silk's dairy-free yogurt for free, I jumped at the chance. I found the product pretty easily at my local Safeway and was able to pick from four different flavors. I chose vanilla, strawberry, and peach mango for good measure.

My first taste test was the vanilla. I've tried multiple dairy-free vanilla yogurts and I know how terrible they can taste. I figured if the Silk brand was going to get it right, the vanilla would be the ultimate test. And guess what? It totally tastes great.

The texture is very smooth and the container holds a great portion size. It's thinner, sort of similar to a creamier pudding. If plain yogurt is too boring or bland for you, this product would be great added to granola or fruit for a dessert. I give it 5 stars and would definitely purchase it again!

Unfortunately, not everything can be perfect. I tried the strawberry next and was extremely disappointed. The flavor just isn't great; it's strange, not fruity, and the color makes it look a little dreadful. I couldn't finish eating the entire container, which was sad, because it reminded me of all the other poor dairy-free brands I've tried before!

I guess you can't win them all. Yoplait definitely remains my #1 brand for lactose-free yogurt, but Silk now takes second place! Big thanks to BzzAgent for the coupons!amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06182247673102007363noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3677872694202613165.post-7096198711609769982015-06-26T12:56:00.000-04:002015-06-26T12:56:18.770-04:00Gorilla Tape - Product Review

An exciting, new freebie challenge courtesy of Smiley360! This opportunity could not have arrived at a better time. I was catching up on my latest Smiley360 surveys and one category was geared towards users moving into a new home. Since I happen to fall into that category, I was in luck!

Hooray! A roll of Gorilla Shipping Tape was soon at my doorstep. I've heard of Gorilla Glue and seen the commercials, but I've never had any experience with Gorilla Tape. I was more than happy to give it a go! We have so many boxes to pack up, move, unpack, re-pack, etc.... just see for yourself.

Yeah, not a pretty sight. And this is only a portion of the moving adventures. We still have many more boxes that need to be packed up sealed. (Seriously, more than I can count.)

But no fear! Gorilla Shipping Tape is here! This tape is extra tough and wide and only ONE strip of tape is needed for a tight seal. And unlike other clear tapes, the plastic roller isn't a pain in the butt. Not once did the tape slip out of the container and get stuck to itself! That in itself made this an easy product to use.

These boxes were already taped once, but were not holding together. I re-taped them using the Gorilla Tape and haven't had any problems! I can't say how the tape holds up during moving, but based on the tape's strength and size, I'm not worried about anything falling apart.

While I'm dreading the thought of packaging a hundred boxes, using Gorilla Tape should make it a little less painful. Big shoutout to Smiley360 for letting me join in the fun and test out this product for free! I would definitely recommend it to anyone moving or packaging up some heavy-duty boxes.

I have to say, PinchMe's samples have been extra exciting lately. I'm not sure if I've just been lucky, or if they have added some new sponsors and products, but the selection has been great!
Okay, enough of the delay. Let's take a look at what I received..

1 pack of Pure Via sweetener - all natural, zero calorie, non-gmo

1 grab & go bag of Orchard Valley Harvest trail mix

1 bag of PEZ Hedz gummy candy

1 box of ZzzQuil sleep aid

1 coupon and scent sample for Method concentrated laundry detergent

1 dual packet of SheaMoisture 10-in-1 renewal system

I won't lie - I haven't been able to sample each and every product quite yet. But if I had to give rave reviews to any front runners, it would go to the PEZ candy. These little chewy bears taste just like the original crunchy pez bites!
Every year when May rolls around, I get the itch to get outside and travel. Maybe it's the warm weather finally arriving after a long winter season -- or maybe it's the lack of vacation days since February -- but whatever it is, it's alive and kicking.

This year we traveled back down south to the gulf coast of Florida. I can't even begin to explain the difference between beaches along the Mid-Atlantic compared to those near the Gulf of Mexico. Siesta Key, Sanibel Island, Fort Myers, Cape Coral are all gorgeous and we will definitely be returning for a third time!

Highlights: riding a jet ski and seeing a dolphin around 20 feet away; searching for manatees (saw two but just barely!); splashing around in bath-temperature water with tiny non-existent waves; and overall relaxation.
Downfall: a two-hour plane ride because I am the most anxious flyer ever.

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share my first sample mission with Smiley360!

If you're a snacker like me, you can't turn down the opportunity to test out a good gummy candy. WONKA recently released a new product called Randoms - a chewy candy that offers endless variety.

Smiley360 hooked me up with two bags to test and I have to admit they are pretty tasty. Oh, and everything from the shapes, colors, and textures are random.

Let's see, where to begin? There are so many different random aspects to choose from...

Each bag contains gummies of various colors. Both of my bags included orange, red, yellow, and purple.

Every gummy is an unusual shape! From clocks to trashcans, you really never know what shape you're going to get. WONKA says the candies come in 70 different shapes, so good luck finding a duplicate!

Flavors may look self-explanatory when you see the color of your gummy, but that's where you are wrong! Some are one solid flavor, while others are coated with a creamy covering. You'll even get a few with a liquid-filled center! I bet that's a surprising burst of flavor you weren't expecting.

So what do you think? Will you try WONKA's new Randoms? I'm not usually a big candy fan, but if I had a gummy craving I would certainly eat these again. I think my favorite types in the package were the yellows and oranges and the creamy textures!

Okay, so this might look like a Christmas craft project, but I swear it isn't! Anyone who is a fan of stripes and glitter--or in this case, wildlife--can create this cute canvas any month of the year.

I originally came across this idea on Pinterest from Hey Lauren Rene and immediately knew I had make one. Check it out!

The process for this project is simple. The only difficulty will depend on what you want your canvas to look like. Stripes? Solid color? A different type of glitter or patterned paper? Figure out what design you want to create and then collect your supplies.

The basic supplies you will need are paint and a paint brush, a canvas (I used 12x12), craft paper, scissors, glue/tape/modge podge, and a deer decal (which you can find on Lauren Rene's blog!) You could also use a jar of glitter if you'd prefer, but craft paper allows for a much cleaner process.

Start off by creating the background for the canvas. If you plan on creating black and white stripes, measure and draw your lines before painting. If you're a messy painter like me, you might want to use painters tape to get straighter lines.

Next, paint on your background. While it's drying, you can work on the deer decal! Here is where you'll need a little patience...

The easiest way to use the decal is to trace it onto the back of the glitter craft paper. Cut out your traced deer and you're in the homestretch! If scissors are too big to fit around the deer's antlers, try an x-acto knife! Just be careful not to cut off part of an antler. Whoops.

Once you peel the painters tape, attach the glitter deer to the canvas and ta da! Your decoration is complete. When I made this project it was around the holidays and it definitely complimented our sparkly Christmas tree.

But, a splash of gold is one of the best ways to spice up a room. That's why I'm keeping this canvas up year round! I love stripes and gold.. and my boyfriend is a hunter.. so it's pretty much the most appropriate decor available. :)

Hey everyone! Recently I have been interacting with BrandBacker, a great resource for bloggers looking to gain more exposure and learn about new and unknown brands. If you're looking for fresh ideas and new posts for your blog, I recommend checking them out!

The first BrandBacker campaign I joined was for InstaNatural, a beauty line created with completely natural and organic ingredients. The product I tested is a new gel to help remove and reduce noticeable scars. This is right up my alley because last September, my legs were victims to a number of mosquitoes, resulting in 30+ bites and an unforgivable number of scars. The marks have faded over the past 6 months, but they're certainly still noticeable enough to warrant help.

The first time I used InstaNatural's scar gel, I have to say I was a little surprised. The strange brown color caught me off guard and the texture is a bit watery. It seemed like the gel would leak off my leg, but sure enough it stayed in place. It doesn't have much of a smell, which is good considering the color! ;) Another positive is I haven't noticed it staining my pants after use. I imagine if any residue was left behind, it would come off in the washing machine anyway since the ingredients are all natural.

As for results, here's where my review gets a little tricky. I haven't seen much, if any, difference with the scar I've been testing. The edges may be slightly faded, but overall, not much difference at all. With that being said, the scar is half a year old and I've only been using the product for about a week. I'm willing to bet that with continued use, my legs will be ready to see summer again.

Even though I haven't seen dramatic results in the past week, I'm not ruling out InstaNatural or their products. As one of Amazon's top beauty sellers, InstaNatural must be doing something right. The reviews speak for themselves -- most customers have seen terrific results! I'll definitely be testing this product out on newer scars and continuing treatment on my old mosquito marks.

It's here, it's here! My #XOVoxBox from Influenster
has officially arrived! I was lucky enough to be selected for this
campaign right in time for Valentine's Day, which conveniently, is right
near my birthday. It's like Influenster sent me my own birthday gift!
:) Okay, now on to the important stuff. What is included in the box?

First
up is the John Frieda Frizz Ease Collection: Shampoo, conditioner, and
primer. This will be perfect for me once the warm weather arrives on the
East Coast. I can never wash-and-go without turning into a ball of
frizz, so I'm excited to try out these products and see how well John
Frieda works.

Next,
a small tube of Skinfix hair repair cream! This was the first product I
sampled out of the XOVoxBox. My hands are taking a beating this winter
with the single digit temperatures and dry air. This lotion keeps my
hands moisturized for hours and healed all my dry patches. A few people
have commented on the lotion's smell and oily residue, but I don't think
it's any worse than other lotions.

Also
included in the XOVoxBox was a coupon code for a FREE order from Adore
Me! The only catch was to sign up for a VIP membership (but I have since
cancelled). To my surprise, Adore Me's products are pretty good
quality! You can read my review here.

My
favorite toothpaste, Colgate! The optic white toothpaste, toothbrush,
and built-in whitening pen were all included in the XOVoxBox. I have
used the toothpaste in the past, and while I didn't see a big difference
in whitening, I did notice how much cleaner my mouth felt when compared
to other toothpaste brands. I've been wanting to buy a whitener recently, so I'm happy to try out Colgate's pen for free!

Another
great product -- Tide's detergent pods. I'm a regular Tide user but
have never tested out the laundry pods. This package in particular is
the botanical rain scent with Febreze and, truthfully, my laundry has
never smelled better. I noticed a difference as soon as I emptied the
washing machine.

I
was worried the pod would get buried by my clothes and somehow not turn
into suds, but everything went according to plan! I highly recommend
testing out Tide's laundry pods if you are looking for a simple
detergent solution.

The
last items in my box are a few extra goodies! The AdoreMe coupon, which
I already mentioned, was a great surprise. Lands' End provided a $25
off coupon code when you spend $100. I'm a little hesitant to purchase
from their online shop without trying on the clothes, so I may take a
trip to the store first. The last card is an Ebay opportunity to write
two guidelines for ebay related items and/or tasks and earn a $25 gift
card, but I might pass on this offer.

All in all, this was
a GREAT Influenster VoxBox to be chosen for! It was the perfect
pick-me-up for this harsh winter weather, and luckily, the snow didn't
delay my box's arrival. Thanks so much, Influenster! If you're
interested in joining Influenster, use my referral link and set up your account TODAY!
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06182247673102007363noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3677872694202613165.post-54083000152912212772015-03-01T22:38:00.000-05:002015-03-14T17:19:24.545-04:00Adore Me - Product Review

Last month, I was selected for Influenster's upcoming XO VoxBox package. This marks my third voxbox since joining the review website last year! Included in the box was a 1 month FREE coupon code for Adore Me, a company dedicated to making beautiful fashion affordable to every type of body.

The only catch with the free-month offer was the need to create an account and sign up for the VIP membership, which requires a credit card. Very tricky, Adore Me. I read through the cancellation policy first and realized it was pretty simple and straightforward, so I tested it out. Here's how my experience went.

The positives:

Adore Me offers various styles of garments on their website, including pajamas, swimwear, lingerie, and more. Sizes include XS - XL as well as plus sizes.

The packaging includes a sophisticated black box, pink wrapping, and booklets on other Adore Me products. Somewhat similar to what a Victoria's Secret box would include, but a different exterior appearance.

The products are high quality - this surprised me the most! Adore Me's prices are not cheap for those without a VIP account. I think the average cost is around $50 per set, but the products are worth the value.

I bought a brand new bra for FREE. What isn't positive about this? You know how expensive they can be!

The negatives:

While my items were good quality, the size ran a bit small. Everything fits but I wonder if I should have gone up a size. There's a good chance I'm just in between their sizes, though.

I can see how complaints may arise with the VIP membership guidelines. Each month, you are charged a fee unless you "skip" that month or purchase an item. If you are charged, that money is basically credited to your account and you can use it to purchase clothing later. I can see how users will forget to skip a month and get charged without realizing.

I cancelled my account after receiving my items (and after "skipping" my first month) because it's still pretty expensive! Great products, but no need for me to keep an account open. I would probably end up skipping 11 out of 12 months of the year.

All in all, I enjoyed trying out Adore Me and appreciate Influenster including the opportunity in the XO VoxBox! If you're looking for some stylish pieces, check them out. There's a wide selection available and you'll more than likely find something you like. Just be sure to check out the prices (and the guidelines) before signing up and purchasing!

For the past 6 months, I've been hooked on finding online freebies and samples. Contests, giveaways, product reviews, surveys -- I've tried them all. If you're looking to score free stuff, here are some websites and tips to try!

Where to find freebies
Pinch Me, Influenster, and Crowdtap have been the most successful sample sites for me. In my experience, they offer the best products, varying by the amount of work you put in. There's also Smiley360, Bzz Agent, and Swaggable, though none of their products have swept me off my feet. You can also visit Target's Sample Spot to see if they have anything up for grabs!

Pinch Me is the most simple site - each month a giveaway is held. Make sure you fill out your entire profile so they can assign free samples based on your interests! You can sign up here.

Influenster requires a bit more work. The more active you are on their website (as well as social media) the higher your score grows. The higher your score means the more campaigns you are chosen for! They might require a fair amount of work, but the prize is ALWAYS worth it. Join here!

Crowdtap is a mixture of Pinch Me and Influenster. You can join specific campaigns and complete goals for chances to win gift cards, or, you can wait to be invited to a campaign giveaway. Check out their website for more info.

The first VoxBox I received from Influenster. This was perfect for summertime!

The best product I've received yet - a box full of Victoria's Secret workout clothes!

Free chocolate, right in time for the holidays. Crowdtap really moved up in my book with this one. These clusters are delicious!

Random

This is my other favorite item I've received so far. I heard CNBC held random giveaways on Twitter during Shark Tank Tuesdays. I tuned in for a couple weeks and one week I caught it just in time! How great is this?!

Poise

Free feminine items = free money. You cannot have too many, so why not order some free samples?

Kotex

The same goes for Kotex. If they're offering a free sample package, why wouldn't you take advantage? (note: I think Poise and Kotex might still be giving away freebies - better jump on that!)

Hello, subscription box fanatics! I've been so busy with the holidays that I completely forgot to post my December review for Phone Case of the Month! To make up for that mishap, I've decided to bring you a new and exciting contest!
I'm back right in time for the holidays! This month has been incredibly busy and a complete whirlwind. I've been wanting to share this super simple DIY project for months! It's one of the easiest and best looking projects I've completed, and besides, it's covered in glitter. When all else fails, add glitter.

I purchased these letters from Joann Fabrics, but they're sold in nearly every craft store. With a bottle of basic silver paint and a can of Rustoleum's silver glitter spray paint, this project cost between $10-$15! Not bad considering I'll use the paints for other projects. Oh yeah, check out my super-fancy-work-station... old computer paper for the win.
Glittery goodness! That spray paint is the BEST. It covered most of the letters after one coating, but I decided to add another coat (or two) for extra shine. I can't wait to use it again. The last step was waiting to officially decorate for the holidays and putting up the Christmas tree!

This is my absolute favorite case from PCOTM so far. Yellow, chevron, and elephants? Amazing. I can't get enough of #StayStrong. Plus, it is the perfect slogan for the cold winter weather I'm suffering through. I hope these little elephants can keep me positive until spring.

If you're still debating whether or not to sign up for PCOTM, take this into consideration. Less than 200 of each design is manufactured. You're pretty much guaranteed a case that none of your friends have (and a case that no one can find or copy you!)

Cases are currently being made for the iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 5c, 6 and soon to be 6 Plus, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, and S5! Well, what are you waiting for?

If you'd like to try it out the subscription service for only $5, sign up now. You can cancel or pause your subscription at any time. They also have gift subscriptions for family and friends!

In typical PCOTM fashion, they sent me another case that made me crave summer and warm-ish weather and the Florida Gulf Coast. All of that would definitely make me happier than a bird with a french fry. This case is cute though and can definitely be utilized next summer! Plus the little pelican is so cute and encouraging.

So anyway, back to PCOTM. Less than 200 of each design are printed and sent out to subscribers, which means your case is RARE. You will not see these cases anywhere else! Along with your case, you'll receive a description of the design, some stickers, pins, or candy, and a cute storage pouch. PCOTM manufactures for the iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 5c, 6 and soon to be 6 plus! They also provide cases for the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, and S5!
Your first case will cost only $5. Plus once you make an account, you will be able to share your own referral link with others! If you have $5 to spare, I promise you, this is worth trying out. I've been subscribed for over 6 months!
I'm excited to share that I was selected for another Influenster campaign! This time, I was lucky enough to be sent a box full of Victoria's Secret Sport goodies! I've been in need of workout clothes--and let's be honest, I'm cheap--so this is one purchase I kept pushing off. Influenster must have read my mind because this box came at the perfect time.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
If you keep your social scores high, you are more likely to be chosen for future packages. Here's the Victoria's Secret package in all its glory! Can you believe they send out items like these for free?!
Amazing. One sport bra, one pair of cropped yoga pants, and a pile of 25% coupons to share with friends. If this hasn't convinced you to check out Influenster by now, I'll be surprised. Leave me a comment if you'd like an invite to join! Here's a closer look at what was included:
Influenster sent out a survey in advance to ask about workout habits, clothing sizes, and more. I am happy to report that both of my items fit very well and seem true to size! The sport bra is definitely supportive and much better than the cheap, generic brands I used to waste money on.
I'll end up using them more for yoga and less intense workouts, but they stand the test for biking and aerobics for sure.

One last note: THANK YOU INFLUENSTER! I am honored to receive such a limited, exciting box!

Well here we are. The easiest DIY craft project that ever existed. What, you don't believe me? Even the least crafty person can handle this one. If you like feathers, gold, and glitter, this is the project for you! To give credit where credit is due, I found this idea over at The Copenhaven.

Here's my uber professional work space. Fancy set up, eh? If I was paying more attention to preparation, I would have covered the entire table with a plastic bag... but I did not. And of course, glitter got absolutely everywhere. Again. Whoops!

The necessary supplies. This never ending jar of glitter was a great investment from Hobby Lobby.

First things first: cover your feathers with an adequate amount of paint. You can scrape off any excess paint on the side of the container you use. I chose to use a teeny tiny dixie cup, but I also had teeny tiny feathers to work with. You may want to use something bigger if you buy large feathers!

Step 1: dip feathers in gold paint. Complete.

Step 2: find your never-ending glitter supply and sprinkle a generous amount. Even after you let the feathers dry, you will still lose glitter. I'm convinced it will fall off forever unless you use a sealer or clear spray paint.

Step 3: figure out a way to dry each of your gold-dipped glittered feathers adequately. The most convenient thing I could think of was taping each feather to a cardboard box. This way, any loose paint or glitter would drip onto the plastic bag below. To be safe, let the feathers dry overnight and shake off excess glitter when you are ready.

If you're worried about glitter falling off, I would recommend sealing it with Modge Podge or a clear spray paint like I mentioned before. But you might have a true love for glitter and enjoy seeing it everywhere.. that's up to you!

And that's it! I chose to display the feathers in an inkwell and conveniently found one on ebay for $5! We recently bought these two shelves from Target (clearance!) and are still decorating them. I think these beauties have found their new home. Though I still have a few feathers that need to be put to use... Any suggestions??amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06182247673102007363noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3677872694202613165.post-32341663727684161692014-08-21T10:00:00.000-04:002015-03-14T17:27:58.670-04:00CNBC Shark Tank Box - Giveaway Win!

Well here's an exciting story for you! A couple months ago, I found out CNBC gives away gift packages through Twitter during Shark Tank Tuesdays. I believe my exact response was, "I'm going to win one." I was confident and determined. So determined that I religiously followed along every Tuesday night for a month and a half but never saw any signs of freebies. My confidence failed and I gave up.

A couple weeks later, I happened to visit Twitter randomly at the right time, and there it was. "Stay tuned, we will be giving away Shark Tank boxes momentarily! Be one of the first 20 users to tweet..." SUCCESS!

By pure dumb luck I was one of the winners! I provided my information and the box arrived at my doorstep by the weekend. CNBC sure knows how to keep its fans happy. As if Shark Tank marathons weren't enough, now we get to experience the products!

"Here's an exclusive gift just for you - a box of Shark Tank goodies. Recognize any items? All of these businesses survived the tank and managed to nab investments." Of course I remember the items! Chris and I have seen most of the episodes twice at this point.

Here's the box in all its glory! According to CNBC's information, all of the items plus shipping makes this around a $100 prize. I think one of my favorite parts isn't even one of the products - it's the box itself. Check out the top of the lid and the big bite taken out of it! I'm not sure how I can re-purpose this once all the products are used, but I will find a way. It's too great to throw out. Now let's take a look at the items it came with!

Nuts 'N More - Chocolate Peanut Butter: Yes. A million times yes. I cannot wait to try this. I'm imagining a giant Reese's Cup crushed into a creamy deliciousness. Okay, I'm not sure if that's what it will really be like, but chocolate and peanut butter are the best combo ever. I love peanut butter. I love chocolate. I will eat all of this and probably make myself sick.

Pork Barrel BBQ Sauce: Chris is pretty excited to use this one. I'm not big on pork, or meat, or any barbequed food in general, so I'll let him be the judge. If it was good enough for Barbara to invest in, I'm sure it tastes great! If it's hard to tell, this is a regular sized bottle of sauce - no sample sizes here!

MarzSprays - ReBoot Energy Spray: Be ALERT! Be FOCUSED! Be MORE PRODUCTIVE! The label certainly says it all. It looks like this company also sells sleep sprays and sprays for kids, so they have quite the variety. Since I avoid caffeine and energy drinks, I'll be giving this to a friend. Hi Jacob, I know you'll use it more than you probably should.

OrigAudio - Fold N' Play Recycled Speakers: Named one of the "50 Best Inventions of 2009," these little speakers are pretty cool. You fold them to set up and unfold when you want to put away. The best part is nothing has to be plugged in! All you do is attach the cord to the device you want to play! My only complaint is the speakers are a little top heavy and tend to fall over. I think we need to weigh them down with books for a while.

Gobie H20 Filtered Water Bottle: And last but not least, this nifty invention right here. This water bottle, complete with carrying case, includes a filter attached to the mouthpiece. Meaning if you are on the run and don't have access to perfectly filtered water, look no further! Pour that tap water right into your bottle and be on your way. The best part about this is clearly the invention itself - imagine how much this could be developed and the benefits it could have on third world countries? It's a pretty genius idea.

Thanks for the opportunity to try some authentic Shark Tank products, CNBC! Be sure to catch the new season of Shark Tank this September on ABC. But remember, if you can't wait that long, tune in every week for Shark Tank Tuesdays! If you follow CNBC on Twitter, maybe you'll win next!amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06182247673102007363noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3677872694202613165.post-25492192498840042412014-08-03T09:30:00.000-04:002015-03-14T17:28:30.940-04:00Phone Case of the Month Subscription Review - August 2014It's time to see what package I received for August!
"It's not about how you look, it's about how you see" is the slogan for this month's "Seeing Differently" case. As usual, this case fits in pretty well with everything I like. I have an owl on my desk at work, an owl on the shelf in the living room, and three recently-purchased gold owls on the bathroom wall. The last card Chris gave me had a gold owl on it. Oh, and I have two owl necklaces. Err... yeah... I guess I have a little obsession..

I have jumped on the freebie train! I became hooked on Influenster as soon as I found the website - and it didn't hurt that I was chosen for my first Vox Box two weeks later. I was lucky enough to receive the Surfs Up Vox Box and here's what was included:

-Not Your Mother's Beach Babe shampoo and conditioner: I haven't used this yet since I plan on taking it to the beach, but I'm excited to try it! Anything that can handle my crazy beach hair is an A+ in my book. Plus both the shampoo and conditioner smell good.

-Sinful Colors nail polish: I'm not a huge fan of the color I received (Sage Rose) but I do like the nail polish overall. I painted one thick layer and the coverage is pretty good. You might want to paint two layers if you have a lighter color polish. You can find Sinful Colors at Walgreens!

-Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration lotion: Again, another product that I'm taking to the beach with me, and another product that smells great! This was shipped separately from the box because of high demand and I'm glad it didn't get lost in the mail.. I've read great things!

-First Aid Shot Therapy: I'm a little particular with the kinds of medicines I take, so I probably won't be trying this one. I'm going to keep this around in case a guest ever needs quick pain relief. I've read some good reviews about FAST so I'm sure it works well.

-Jamba Juice smoothie coupons: One free smoothie kit coupon and a $1 off coupon were included. These are sold at a variety of locations but I'm planning on visiting Safeway today to pick up my free kit! It looks delicious.

Thanks for choosing me for this campaign, Influenster! If you would like to join the site I have plenty of invites to send out. Leave a comment with your email and I'll send you one!

A company who can print my Instagram photos? That's exactly what I need! More prints that I have no place to put!

But the entire game changed when I looked through their catalog of products and found these framed prints. Oh my goodness, aren't they beautiful? I knew I had to have them but there was, and is, one problem: the price. $60 PER FRAME? There is no way I could ever convince myself to spend that much money on photos or frames. That's when I started looking for an alternative.

After some searching, I discovered these beauties being sold on Ebay. I could make these custom frames myself! Ordering four of these frames from Ebay would cost nearly the same as one professionally customized frame. All I had to do was order some prints from the Social Print Studio and I'd be good to go.

Ta da! My fun little package from the great folks at the Social Print Studio. Isn't it cute? I believe I ordered 24 prints for $12, though I can't remember if there was a shipping charge. I do remember it shipped VERY quickly. Regardless, it is a great deal.

Here they are in all their printed glory! I think they turned out pretty well for originally being Instagram photos. I would definitely order from Prinstagram again if I ever wanted or needed some quick prints. Did I mention I did all the uploading and ordering through the app? It was pretty much the simplest first order ever. Very impressive.

With my frames and prints delivered, so began the customizing process. Check out my finished product for $80 dollars! If I had ordered everything through Printstagram/Social Print Studio, it would have cost over $250!
This project took longer than it should have, but it's finally complete! We still need more artwork and photos on our apartment walls, but I think these are a great addition to the bedroom. It's a great way to display where we have traveled together so far.

I purchased the frames almost a year ago and ordered the prints a few months back - but now they are together in their rightful place. You can check out my product reviews and where I purchased everything in my Printstagram post.
I decided to go the simple route and tape each photo to the backing. I figure if I ever want to replace the pictures, tape will be the easiest to remove and will hopefully not damage anything. The best part was measuring out where each photo should be taped. And by best I mean the most tedious and unexciting part of this entire process. BUT since I used tape, all of my crooked and uneven mistakes were fixable!

This is my favorite frame out of the four I put together. I'm considering getting a larger print of this photo in particular. I think it looks like a mixture of new city life with an old vintage feel, especially with the woman's outfit and the fountain. I really love it.

These are the final products! Each frame is organized somewhat by location: one for Baltimore, one for Florida's Gulf Coast, and the other two are various (DC, NYC, etc). Buying the frames myself and putting everything together saved over $150! The only thing I could not properly accomplish by myself was hanging the photos perfectly, but luckily, Chris stepped in and saved the day. I think they look great!
My July Phone Case of the Month is here and I think my boyfriend likes it even more than I do. Isn't that enough to make you want to sign up?

A short recap for those of you unfamiliar with this subscription service: Phone Case of the Month is a $10 package that sends you a limited edition phone case. Less than 200 of each design is printed, meaning you won't see these cases anywhere else! Unless you run into another PCOTM subscriber who mysteriously has the same case as you. But really, those odds are like 1 in 1,000,000. Different cases are sent to different subscribers!

This month I received "Feeling the Wind in my Hair," or as the youngsters would describe it, #LetsRide. Chris convinced me to buy a bicycle over a year ago, so you can imagine his surprise when he saw this month's package! He got a great laugh out of it. You can also imagine my uncoordinated self's disdain as I unwrapped the case. Okay, I'm kidding... kind of. The case is cute and I'll use it when I'm dragged out on the bike path. :)

Each case comes with a story behind the artist and design, some stickers, pins, or candy, and a cute pouch for storage. PCOTM currently manufactures for the iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 5c, and Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4.

If you'd like to try the subscription service, use my referral link for 50% off your first order! Only $5 for a cute, sturdy phone accessory! I think you'll be happy with the product. They really have a huge variety of case designs and it's always fun to see what you will receive!

And by the way, if you ever see me riding a bike, stay out of my way. I ride towards everyone and everything in sight. :)

This month I received the "Day Dreaming" case, or #DayDreamBeliever. Every time I think of the name, I start humming The Monkees. And then I remember Davy Jones was on that episode of The Brady Bunch.

Anyways. Included with your phone case will be a variety of items, including a PCOTM baggie, the story behind the design, and a random assortment of goodies (stickers, temporary tattoos, candy, etc).
